Ibn Sina - despite his death at a young age - was one of the encyclopedic scholars, and he did not leave an art without writing about it. He was also a master of Arab abridgers. Many consider him one of the greatest human beings of all time.
The book in our hands was written by him for those working with logic, although he had touched on logic before in his most famous book, Al-Shifa. But what distinguishes this book is that Al-Shifa presents logical issues briefly and concisely, and it is suitable for the common people, or for those who do not work with logic. Ibn Sina explains in his introduction:
