Sencer, a twelve-year-old boy with some unusual habits and behaviors, cannot be friends with his peers. He can't make sense of their sarcastic looks, comments and teasing. He is fascinated with sea-shells he collects, the pi number and aliens. He is happy in his own world with his dog Tombala. However, Sencer's unusual behaviors both upset and anger his teachers as well as his parents.
Everything changes with the summer assignment given by his sixth-grade teacher. During his trip to Hungary with his Mom and Mom's friend and her daughter, Sencer finds himself in the passage of a castle they visited. His efforts and the creative methods to find a way out of the passage surprise everyone around him. Upon his return home, he writes all about his family and friends, and his time in the passage as his summer assignment.
