In 2034 U.S. healthcare is so expensive that the uninsured sick have two options: be taken to a mysterious government facility called The Wellspring, or pay to "curate your own death" using an illegal company that will kill you in ways that meet your wildest fantasies. When teenage assassin Mercy Gorrison infiltrates The Wellspring with a plan to rescue her mother, she sparks a revolution that threatens to take down the fascist government and their evil plot to enslave the sick.
