Palace of Desire- The second part of Naguib Mahfouz's famous trilogy, in which he describes the stage that followed the 1919 revolution in the life of the family of Ahmed Abdel Gawad, and his isolation for five years as a result of what happened to his son "Fahmy". The novel was published in 1957 and was adapted to the cinema screen in 1967 in a film directed by Hassan Al-Imam.
