I sped through this pacy novel and enjoyed its many twists immensely, and I felt there was credibility to the behavior of even the darkest and most questionable characters that kept everything realistic. The emotional turmoil for Leah and Jake was balanced between the split perspective narration, allowing us to get partial information from both sides of the discovery and ensuing mystery and piece together the startling revelations for ourselves.
