1930. The depression. A young man leaves New York and finds more than a job. Friendship, love and the occasional bootlegger and bank robber
It's 1930, less than a year since the Great Depression began. In large cities, like New York, thousands of people lost their jobs as the economy of the nation shut down.
Young men, like Danny Broome, took whatever work they could find, usually at a dollar a day. Moving out of the crowded cities was sometimes the only way to survive, and Migrant work offered housing, food and a chance to see America.
From harvesting vegetables and fruit in the south to the grain harvests in the midwest, Danny, and his friend Wiley Bishop, managed to make a living.
Danny's life changes when he meets Wiley's sister, Kate. From their first meeting, both knew it was love.
Danny and Wiley experience many adventures: from moonshiners to bank robbers to fires and dust storms. Follow their adventure as the duo meet hard times head on in 'MIGRANT!
