Black Journalists, White Media is based on the experience of journalists of African-Caribbean and Asian descent. The author interviewed one hundred black journalists working in all sectors of the British media, including newspapers, television and radio. The book links the under-representation of black journalists in the white media to discrimination, direct and indirect, and demonstrates the weakness of the media unions in putting positive action equal opportunities into place. Dr. Beulah Ainley is a freelance journalist who has taught and researched journalism.
