The SME Guide to Minerals and Materials Science Schools is designed to be used by high school guidance counselors, libraries and college/university engineering departments. It is a reference guide containing information that can be used to contact the minerals and materials engineering departments, the deaprtment professors, and to dtermine what is required in the degreed programs and the enrollment and graduation data. All department information is designated by colored index tabs. The Guide can be used as a marketing tool to interest students in the mining, metallurgical and exploration industries. It gives departments the ability to compare their data with competing colleges and universities.
