International trade is a significant contributor to GDP. Current international trade is drastically more complex and imbalanced. The change in information and communication technologies promoted the globalization of supply chains which produced a nexus between trade, investment and services, which is at the heart of current global trade. The high amount of change has produced a hesitation that now demands new global trade systems - a new set of rules for the new environment.
